Choose the exact plate for your Lotus Mini Tangra fixture. These genuine Lotus PR (round) and PS (square) 26-inch galvanized-steel rough-in plates are used to pre-mount the opening for a compatible 1-inch or 2-inch Tangra recessed downlight during new construction. They are eight different manufacturer part numbers, not interchangeable universal plates.

How to choose PR versus PS and the correct opening
- PR = round opening; PS = square opening. Do not substitute a round plate just because a square fixture has the same nominal size.
- Visible thin trim versus invisible trim matters. For example, PR-138 fits L1F-RDT (1⅜-inch round), whereas the L1F-RDI trimless fixture needs PR-112 (1½-inch round).
- Fixed versus gimbal matters. For the 2-inch round families, L2F-RDT uses PR-200 (2-inch round), L2F-RDI uses PR-236 (2³⁄₁₆-inch round), and adjustable L2G-RRT uses PR-212 (2½-inch round).
- Square fixed versus square gimbal matters. PS-156 has a 1¹⁵⁄₁₆-inch square opening for L2F-SDT; PS-276 has a 2⁷⁄₁₆-inch square opening for adjustable L2G-SRT.
Installation and material details
- Identify the exact Mini Tangra fixture manufacturer code on the lighting schedule or selected Shopify product.
- Select its one-to-one matching plate SKU in the compatibility table above; verify the round diameter or square side dimension against the fixture's own cutout instructions.
- During new-construction pre-mounting, position the galvanized-steel 26-inch plate across suitable joists, which the manufacturer specifies may be up to 24 inches apart.
- Use the plate's alignment notches to position the fixture opening. Secure the plate with separately supplied screws through the elongated mounting slots.
- Complete ceiling, fixture, driver and electrical installation under the model-specific Lotus instructions and local code. A rough-in plate by itself is not the recessed LED fixture, electrical enclosure or LED driver.
Plate width: The manufacturer drawings show an approximately 2¼-inch-wide plate for the 1-inch fixture group (PR-112, PR-138, PS-138), and a 3⅛-inch-wide plate for the 2-inch fixture group (PR-200, PR-236, PR-212, PS-156, PS-276). Check the current drawing for clearance.

Does a PR-138 plate fit the L1F-RDI invisible-trim fixture?
No. PR-138 is for L1F-RDT with a 1⅜-inch round opening. The trimless L1F-RDI requires PR-112 with a 1½-inch round opening.
Can I use one plate for every 2-inch Tangra?
No. The 2-inch fixed round thin-trim, fixed round invisible-trim, fixed square thin-trim, round gimbal and square gimbal fixtures use different opening sizes and plate SKUs. Select by complete manufacturer model.
Are mounting screws included?
No. Every uploaded Lotus PR/PS plate specification states that the plate is fastened through its mounting slots with screws not supplied.
Are these downlights, drivers, or electrical junction boxes?
No. They are galvanized-steel rough-in plates for pre-mounting compatible Mini Tangra recessed fixtures. Select the appropriate fixture and electrical driver separately.
Can I order one plate, and what is the package quantity?
