Choose your exact fixture: 30 manufacturer configurations
Use the product options to choose trim finish, reflector/beam and CRI. These selectors represent 30 genuine manufacturer SKUs, each with a distinct barcode. The finish image is illustrative; the selected variant's part number controls its reflector, nominal beam and CRI.
- Five finishes: WH White; BK Black; BR Oil Rubbed Bronze (called Bronze in the selector); AZ Alzak; WB White/Black Duo.
- Three actual optics: RC25 = clear reflector with glass, 25°; RC40 = clear reflector with glass, 40°; RF40 = frosted-glass reflector, 40°. A 25° frosted option is not listed for this series.
- Two high-CRI LED selections: 5C95 = five selectable white CCTs with CRI95; 5C98 = the same selectable CCT range with CRI98. The CRI grade is built into the selected SKU, not changed by the field CCT selector.
How to choose: Match the specified square finish first. Choose the narrower 25° clear optic for a tighter listed beam or either 40° optic for a wider one, then choose the project's CRI grade. The fixture is fixed and cannot tilt or rotate. The manufacturer specifies up to 500 lm at 4000K/CRI95 only; CCT, CRI98 and optic combinations may produce different measured light outputs. Compatible dimmable driver — required, sold separately
This is not a line-voltage downlight. The fixture itself requires 24V DC constant voltage. Lotus's compatible KVE 5-in-1 dimmable drivers accept 120–277V line input and provide the separate 24V supply. Driver purchase is additional to the fixture price. The manufacturer specifies the following maximum counts for this specific 5W L1F-SDT family:

Correct square cutout and preconstruction accessory
Lotus specifies a 1-3/8-inch SQUARE ceiling cutout and 3 inches of required space above the ceiling. Its matching PS-138 26-inch flat rough-in plate is an accessory sold separately; this is the correct square-configuration part, not PR-138 (the rough-in referenced for the 1-inch round model). Find the PS-138 option in the Mini Tangra rough-in family. Confirm any supplier order multiple or packaging quantity for the plate.
The model sheet lists Type IC, air tight and wet location, but it does not establish a numeric IP rating, fire-resistance duration or underwater suitability. Follow Lotus installation instructions and applicable electrical and building rules for the actual ceiling and environment.
Which Mini Tangra model should I choose instead?
- L1F-RDT: 1-inch fixed ROUND deep-regressed thin trim. It uses a round 1-3/8-inch opening and PR-138 plate; its manufacturer-stated maximum is 470 lm at 4000K/CRI95 rather than this square model's 500-lumen maximum.
- L2F-SDT: 2-inch fixed SQUARE deep-regressed thin trim with a larger 1-15/16-inch square cutout, 8W rating and different driver limits.
- L2G-SRT: 2-inch adjustable SQUARE gimbal for projects requiring 20° tilt / 360° rotation; different 2-7/16-inch square opening.
Common technical and purchasing questions
Is L1F-SDT an adjustable gimbal?
No. The 25° and 40° selections are optical beam spreads. The physical light head is fixed and does not tilt or rotate.
Can I use this fixture with standard 120V power?
Only through an appropriately installed separately purchased, compatible Lotus KVE driver. The light itself requires 24V DC constant voltage and must never be connected directly to line voltage.
How many fixtures can share the 30W driver?
Lotus specifies a maximum of six L1F-SDT 5W fixtures on KVE-24030-TMWJ1-VA, twelve on KVE-24060-TMWJ1-VA and nineteen on KVE-24096-TMWJ1-VA, subject to the final electrical design.
Is the 500-lumen maximum valid for the CRI98 versions?
Not confirmed. The manufacturer specifies up to 500 lm at 4000K/CRI95. Exact light output for other CRI, CCT or reflector combinations requires the corresponding photometric data.
Are the driver and PS-138 plate included?
No. They are separate products. Select the fixture's finish, optic and CRI, then add any required driver and rough-in plates.
Is this product available to ship now?
Lotus's October 2026 product announcement projected November 2026 stocking for Mini Tangra. This is not a confirmation of Simply Controlled's current inventory, supplier on-hand quantities or a promised shipment date. Confirm availability before committing a job schedule.
