Quick choice: The Lotus Tangra L2G-SRT is a Canadian-made 2-inch square recessed LED gimbal with a thin visible trim. Choose the exact L2G-SRT variant
Choose a trim finish, beam/reflector and CRI grade using the product selector. This family contains 50 orderable manufacturer SKU configurations, each with its own barcode. The complete selected manufacturer part number controls what is ordered; a finish photo alone does not indicate CRI or beam.
- Five trim finishes: WH White; BK Black; BR Oil Rubbed Bronze (called Bronze in the selector); AZ Alzak; and WB White/Black Duo.
- Five genuine optic combinations: RC20 = clear-glass reflector 20°; RC36 = clear-glass reflector 36°; RF36 = frosted-glass reflector 36°; RC50 = clear-glass reflector 50°; RF50 = frosted-glass reflector 50°. There is no frosted 20° selection in the manufacturer's supplied ordering data.
- High-CRI LEDs: 5C95 = five selectable white colour temperatures, CRI95; 5C98 = the same selectable temperatures, CRI98. The CRI is a SKU-level attribute; it is not a field-adjustable setting.
Selection advice: Match the architect's square-trim finish schedule, choose the specified reflector and beam spread, then specify CRI95 or CRI98. The 20° tilt is the adjustable aiming angle, which is different from the selected 20° / 36° / 50° beam angle. The manufacturer's up to 850 lm value is given specifically at 4000K and CRI95; do not assume identical output for the CRI98, different CCT or optic configurations.

Compatible 24V drivers — ordered separately
This fixture is NOT a direct line-voltage downlight. Its electrical input is 24V DC constant voltage. The compatible Lotus KVE 5-in-1 driver receives 120–277V line input and supplies the fixture. The driver is not included in the L2G-SRT fixture price. Lotus specifies 100% to 0.1% dimming with its supplied drivers.

Shop Lotus Mini Tangra KVE drivers. These are Lotus's model-specific maximum fixture counts—not generic numbers to copy from the 5W Mini Tangra fixtures. Verify circuit layout, voltage drop, conductor sizes, wall controls and the driver/fixture installation instructions before determining an installed fixture count.
Square cutout and preconstruction planning
The required ceiling opening is 2-7/16 inches square, with 3 inches of space above the ceiling. Lotus lists the PS-276 accessory—a 26-inch flat rough-in plate—for this square gimbal. The plate is a separate line item; it is not included with the fixture. Find the Mini Tangra rough-in plates and select PS-276. Verify packaging and supplier order multiples when quoting projects.
Lotus lists Type IC, air-tight and wet-location suitability. These ratings do not establish a numerical IP grade, fire-resistance duration, open-plenum approval or underwater suitability. Verify the complete installation instructions and local building/electrical requirements for the project.

- L2G-RRT: 2-inch round adjustable gimbal; shares 8W and directional adjustment but uses a 2½-inch round ceiling opening and PR-212 rough-in plate.

Frequently asked purchasing questions
Is the dimmable driver included?
No. Choose the fixture variant, then add a compatible KVE 24V driver sized for the installation and any required PS-276 plate as separate products.
How many of these 8W lights can use a 30W driver?
Lotus states a maximum of 3 L2G-SRT fixtures on KVE-24030-TMWJ1-VA. The corresponding published figures are 7 on 60W and 12 on 96W, subject to the electrical design.
Does 36° beam mean the fixture tilts 36°?
No. The lens/reflector gives a nominal 20°, 36° or 50° beam. The mechanical gimbal tilt is 20°, with 360° rotation.
Is the ceiling opening round or square?
Square: 2-7/16 inches on each side, per the L2G-SRT specification. The related L2G-RRT requires a different round cutout.
Does CRI98 provide 850 lumens at every CCT?
Not confirmed. The manufacturer lists up to 850 lm at 4000K/CRI95. Request the variant-specific photometric report when a design depends on exact delivered light output.
When will it ship?
Lotus's October 2026 product bulletin identified November 2026 as the anticipated availability period for the new Mini Tangra family. This is not a live inventory confirmation or delivery commitment; check actual availability before scheduling an installation.
