How to choose among 40 genuine L2F-RDT variants
Select trim finish, optic/beam and CRI using the product options. Each valid choice corresponds to a unique manufacturer SKU and barcode; the photos show the finish, not the precise beam pattern. This family has 40 listed configurations.
- Five trim finishes: WH White; BK Black; BR Oil Rubbed Bronze (shown as Bronze in the selector); AZ Alzak; WB White/Black Duo.
- Four reflector/beam combinations: RC20 = clear-glass reflector 20°; RC30 = clear-glass reflector 30°; RF30 = frosted-glass reflector 30°; RF40 = frosted-glass reflector 40°. A clear 40° or frosted 20° option is not in the supplied SKU range.
- Two LED grades: 5C95 offers five selectable CCTs and CRI95; 5C98 offers the same CCT range and CRI98. CRI is determined by the purchased SKU and is not changed by the field-selectable CCT setting.
Selection guidance: Start with the architectural finish, then match the required 20°/30°/40° beam and clear or frosted reflector. The fixed deep-regressed light source is intended to reduce perceived glare; it does not rotate or tilt. The manufacturer lists up to 760 lumens specifically at 4000K/CRI95; actual photometric performance can vary with the purchased reflector, CCT and CRI. Request exact-SKU photometric data for lighting calculations.

Dimensional caution: Use the manufacturer's L2F-RDT dimensional drawing to check external trim/body fit. The 2-inch cutout and 4-inch above-ceiling clearance are expressly stated; we do not substitute the gimbal model's shallower 3-inch clearance or invent a shipping/carton weight.
Required separate driver: correct KVE fixture counts
The L2F-RDT is a 24V DC constant-voltage luminaire—not a direct 120–277V fixture. A separate Lotus KVE 5-in-1 dimmable driver receives 120–277V line input and supplies the LED fixtures. A driver is not included in this fixture's listed price. Lotus specifies the following limits for this 8W fixed-round model:

Browse compatible Lotus Mini Tangra KVE drivers. These are manufacturer maximums, not guarantees that a given cable run or control combination will work without an electrical design. Confirm conductor sizes, voltage drop, dimmer/control compatibility and installation instructions; do not use the different fixture-count limits of 5W Mini Tangra models.
Round cutout and rough-in planning
Lotus specifies a 2-inch round ceiling cutout and 4 inches of space above the ceiling. The compatible separately ordered construction accessory is PR-200, a 26-inch flat rough-in plate. View the Mini Tangra rough-in plate family and select PR-200. Confirm the applicable accessory case quantity or supplier MOQ before purchasing for a job.
The manufacturer's Type IC, air-tight and wet-location claims do not establish a specific numeric IP grade, fire-resistance duration, open-plenum rating, or approval for submersion. Confirm installation method and applicable electrical/building code at the intended location.

Is the driver or rough-in plate included?
No. Each orderable variant is the fixture configuration. Add an appropriately sized compatible Lotus KVE driver and any required PR-200 construction plate as separate products.
Does this fixed fixture tilt like a gimbal?
No. L2F-RDT is fixed. Its 20°/30°/40° selections are the light beam spread, not an adjustable mechanical aiming angle.
Can I use four units on a 30W Lotus driver?
No. The L2F-RDT sheet lists a maximum of three 8W fixtures on KVE-24030-TMWJ1-VA, up to seven on KVE-24060-TMWJ1-VA and up to twelve on KVE-24096-TMWJ1-VA.
Is 760 lumens the output for all 40 SKUs?
Not necessarily. Lotus specifies up to 760 lm at 4000K/CRI95. Exact delivered light for other CCTs, CRI98 and optical combinations requires SKU-specific photometric data.
Is it currently available to ship?
Lotus's October 2026 new-product bulletin stated November 2026 as the intended stocking period. This is not proof of Simply Controlled stock, current supplier availability or an exact shipment date. Confirm before scheduling an installation.
