Eurofase EF61FMPF is the 61-inch heater-class flush-mount kit for a finished, recessed architectural ceiling installation. Although its SKU says “61-inch,” the frame is approximately 70 inches overall. Eurofase's current product matrix identifies the EF30 and EF60 heater series as the compatible 61-inch-class platforms. The frame is sold separately from the heater, Type-X enclosure and electrical controls.

For high-output residential and commercial patio layouts, select the EF60 6,000 W heater in the required finish and voltage, then confirm the frame/enclosure and control plan. The EF61 class is not the correct frame for the smaller EF40/EF50 heater body: see EF39FMPF for those families.

What's included and what's sold separately
Eurofase's current frame series document lists the metal frame, one 4-ft high-temperature fixture whip, four adjustable L brackets and screws, and three high-temperature ceramic connectors. The heater installation manual and the physical packing list take priority in the event of a manufacturer packaging revision.
Purchase separately as required: EF60 heater, EF61FRBC Type-X enclosure, compatible extended-length high-temperature 4-wire whip, approved switching/control equipment, site electrical material and labour. Do not confuse these individual parts with the manufacturer's BUNDLE8 / BUNDLE10 recessed mounting packages.
Construction details that matter before rough-in
Eurofase's dedicated recessed-mount manual permits flat ceilings only and illustrates minimum 2 × 8 framing for the lined pocket. The finished pocket is to be lined with at least 5/8-in Type-X drywall; maintain the specified cutout and position the heater fascia downward. An externally accessible junction box must be located outside the sealed pocket. The supplied 4-ft high-temperature whip and ceramic wire connectors are part of the manufacturer's intended connection method. A licensed electrician must complete the electrical installation and confirm code compliance.
When the 4-in frame border is partially covered with ceiling finish, maintain a minimum ½ in ventilation clearance around the perforations. Do not use Eurofase decorative heater cover plates in a recessed flush-mount installation. Mounting the same frame on a sloped ceiling or transferring heater surface-mount clearances to a recessed cavity is outside the published method.
Prefabricated Type-X enclosure choice
The separately orderable EF61FRBC Type-X enclosure provides a manufacturer-described preformed drywall/plywood/metal recessed component with a 65⅝ × 12 in interior footprint. Its availability does not independently certify the whole ceiling as fire-rated; confirm any required classified assembly, permitted structure, framing, accessible junction box, and authority approval before closing the ceiling.

What size is the physical frame? Approximately 69.94 × 16.94 in overall; “61-inch” refers to the heater body family.
Can I use this with EF40? No: choose the EF39FMPF heater-class frame and follow the relevant model installation documents.
Is the Type-X enclosure included? No. It is a separate component unless the supplier's confirmed bundle manifest expressly includes one.
For a complete dealer equipment review, provide a reflected ceiling plan, heater count/finish, electrical voltage, usable framing depth, junction-box location and required assembly approval. Freight and supplier availability must be checked before order.
Project ordering: supplied whip and longer connections
Eurofase's 61-inch flush-mount kit includes a 4 ft high-temperature connection whip and specified mounting hardware. Do not automatically add a second whip. Where the approved electrical drawing requires a longer heater-side run, review the separately sold EFHTW 4-wire connection whip lengths of 10, 15 and 20 ft. These are 4-wire products and are not substitutes for Eurofase's 3-wire EFHTW-C control-box whips.
The 61-inch heater/frame pairing is intended for EF30/EF60 manufacturer families according to Eurofase's installation guidance. Confirm the exact model, required cavity construction, clearance, 5/8-inch Type X drywall where specified and the manufacturer's actual assembly instructions before procurement. Standard flush-mount kits are not for decorative heater faceplates or sloped-ceiling installations.
