Eurofase EF39FMPF is a 39-inch heater-class flush-mount frame that integrates compatible infrared patio heaters into a finished flat ceiling. The actual exterior frame is approximately 48 inches long; this is a separately ordered mounting kit, not a heater, enclosure or complete heating system. Designed for professional covered-patio and architectural projects, the standard frame is 304 stainless steel in Black, Stainless Steel or White.

What arrives with the frame kit?
The Eurofase EF39FMPF series sheet lists one 4-ft high-temperature connection whip, four adjustable “L” brackets with screws, and three high-temperature ceramic wire connectors (marettes), plus the frame. Its installation manual explains how the supplied whip connects the heater's junction box to the separate accessible electrical junction box. Confirm the supplied revision and packing list before installation.
Not included: heater, the separately specified EF39FRBC Type-X enclosure, any project-specific alternative control, breaker/disconnect, longer whip, or site labour. The separate Eurofase recessed mounting bundles (BUNDLE series) are distinct commercial SKUs and are not automatically cheaper than individual components.
Recessed ceiling preparation and safety requirements
Eurofase's flush-mount installation manual specifies a flat, non-sloped ceiling, a finished pocket lined with minimum 5/8-in Type-X drywall, and an accessible external junction box. The manual illustrates minimum 2 × 8 framing, requires the heater fascia to face downward, and calls for the supplied high-temperature whip and ceramic connectors. Licensed-electrician installation is required. These requirements are specific to recessed construction and must not be replaced with the standard heater's surface-mount clearance table.
The manufacturer describes two frame attachment routes (through internal flanges or the faceplate). If decorative ceiling finish partially hides the 4-in flange, leave at least ½ in clearance to the internal ventilation holes. Flush mounting is not compatible with Eurofase decorative heater faceplates; use the heater's supplied standard grille. A longer, compatible 4-wire high-temperature whip can be separately specified where the accessible junction box is farther away. Confirm cable type and circuit details against the current approved electrical drawing.
Correct matching enclosure and project boundaries
The EF39FRBC Type-X drywall enclosure is a manufacturer enclosure option with a 43¾ × 12 in internal footprint. Its use depends on the approved ceiling design and manufacturer requirements; adding a box does not prove the completed ceiling assembly has a particular fire-resistance rating. Check the project's required assembly approval with the installer and the authority having jurisdiction before cutting or closing the ceiling.

Dealer questions
Does “39-inch frame” mean a 39-inch ceiling cutout? No. Use the 43¾ × 12 in finished opening shown in Eurofase's installation manual. The frame exterior is approximately 48.05 × 16.94 in.
Can the frame be used on a pitched ceiling? No, not under Eurofase's published flush-mount instruction. Review a separately approved heater mounting method instead.
Are the Type-X enclosure and heater included? No. Both are separate orderable components or may appear in explicitly defined manufacturer bundles; confirm bundle manifests rather than assuming inclusions.
Provide the heater SKU, ceiling plan, cavity depth, desired finish, accessible electrical connection point, and building-assembly requirements to finalize selection. Final freight, stock and dealer pricing require confirmation.
Project ordering: supplied whip and longer connections
Eurofase's 39-inch flush-mount kit includes a 4 ft high-temperature connection whip and specified mounting hardware. Do not automatically add a second whip. Where the approved electrical drawing requires a longer heater-side run, review the separately sold EFHTW 4-wire connection whip lengths of 10, 15 and 20 ft. These are 4-wire products and are not substitutes for Eurofase's 3-wire EFHTW-C control-box whips.
The 39-inch heater/frame pairing is intended for EF15/EF20/EF25/EF40/EF50 manufacturer families according to Eurofase's installation guidance. Confirm the exact model, required cavity construction, clearance, 5/8-inch Type X drywall where specified and the manufacturer's actual assembly instructions before procurement. Standard flush-mount kits are not for decorative heater faceplates or sloped-ceiling installations.
