Rotel CD11MKII CD Player
The Rotel CD11MKII is a dedicated CD player built for consistent disc playback performance in two-channel systems and CI racks. It combines Rotel’s proprietary disc transport with a TI PCM5102A DAC (32-bit/384 kHz capability) and a Rotel-tuned digital low-pass filter. Use the analog RCA outputs for direct connection to an amplifier, or the 75 Ω coaxial digital output to feed an external DAC.
Dealer Quick Fit
- Best for: reliable CD playback into an integrated amp/preamp, or as a transport feeding an external DAC
- Playback support: standard Red Book CDs + MP3-encoded discs
- Outputs: stereo RCA analog + coaxial S/PDIF digital (75 Ω)
- Control: 12V trigger input for system power sequencing
- Use case callout: ideal when the client wants physical media with simple, repeatable user operation
Why Dealers Care
- Two deployment modes: use it as a complete CD player via RCA analog out, or as a disc transport via coax digital out.
- Predictable integration: analog line-level source behavior + simple single-digital-output path for external DAC stacks.
- Trigger-friendly: 12V trigger input supports on/off sequencing with Rotel amplifiers, processors, and control systems.
- Low noise floor design: strong SNR/separation specs support clean two-channel playback in revealing systems.
Connectivity
- Analog Output: 1 × stereo RCA pair
- Digital Output: 1 × coaxial S/PDIF (75 Ω)
- Trigger: 12V trigger input (3.5 mm mono)
- Power: detachable IEC power cord (included)
How to Spec It (Dealer Notes)
- Analog vs Digital decision: if the system already has a preferred DAC, spec the CD11MKII as a transport using coax out; otherwise use the internal DAC via RCA out.
- Coax best practice: use a true 75 Ω coax cable for digital output runs to minimize reflections/jitter sensitivity in demanding systems.
- Disc compatibility: plays standard CDs and MP3 discs; it is not intended for SACD or DVD-A playback.
