Compatibility is determined by the wiring—not just the 30 A rating

Eurofase publishes model-specific wiring illustrations for 120 V, 208 V and 240 V connections and single/dual heater-element arrangements. These drawings require interpretation for the actual heater and site; the catalogue does not authorize an arbitrary mix of EF40, EF60, LP40 or third-party resistive loads. A 6,000 W EF60 heater is nominally 25 A at 240 V, but that arithmetic alone does not establish dimming compatibility or that two heaters may share the same control output. Eurofase's app can manage multiple devices; this is not proof that one enclosure can carry multiple heater loads simultaneously.

Canadian installation and safety

Eurofase's EFIKWSMD installation manual requires installation by a licensed electrician, fixed wiring suitable for the Canadian Electrical Code, approved protective conduit, an accessible means of isolation, a heat-resistant vertical mounting surface and compliance with the device rating plate. Do not mount the controller close to a shower, bathtub or swimming pool, or where a user could touch the controls from water. Confirm the NEMA Type 3R mounting location is appropriate for the exposure and installation method.

Do not treat the 30 A specification as overcurrent-protection selection advice. Branch-circuit design, terminal capacities, conductor sizes and associated switching equipment must be verified from the final approved drawing and applicable code.

Questions dealers ask

Can this dim two 6,000 W EF60 heaters? Not directly on the basis of the 30 A controller rating. The combined 50 A nominal load exceeds that limit; any multi-heater architecture must use manufacturer-approved separate control equipment and circuitry.

Does a 3-hour auto shut-off mean it can run unattended? No. The timer is a safety feature, not an authorization to disregard installation and operating precautions.

Will it work with an existing EFIKWSM installation? Do not assume direct interchangeability; housing, output stage, electrical connections and current limits differ. The licensed installer must design any substitution.
