Monitor Audio Climate 80 is the largest model in Monitor Audio's IP55-rated Climate outdoor-speaker trio. It is a passive, 2-way outdoor / indoor on-wall loudspeaker sold as a manufacturer-defined pair, combining an 8-inch C-CAM bass / mid-range driver with a 1-inch C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter in a sealed weather-resistant enclosure.
The current manufacturer specification publishes a 50 Hz–30 kHz frequency response, 89.5 dB sensitivity at 1 W / 1 m, 111.1 dBA maximum SPL, 120 W RMS power handling and a recommended amplifier range of 20–120 W.

Climate 80 uses an 8-inch / 203 mm C-CAM bass / mid-range driver, making it the largest driver platform in the Climate 50, 60 and 80 group. The current manufacturer data publish the lowest frequency limit and highest sensitivity, output and RMS handling of the three models.
That additional capability comes with the largest cabinet and wall projection in the family, so the installation surface and available physical space should be considered alongside acoustic requirements.
IP55 weather-resistant design
Climate 80 carries a verified IP55 environmental-protection rating. That specific rating should remain the product truth rather than being simplified into a generic “waterproof” claim.
IP55 does not indicate submersion capability. Mounting surface, cable entry, environmental exposure and applicable installation requirements still need to be evaluated for the actual site.
Adjustable mounting geometry
The current Climate 80 product page specifies a bracket pivot of 87.5 degrees from the central position plus a 15-degree fixed angled block for portrait orientation.
The cabinet itself is 221 mm deep, while Monitor Audio publishes an overall installed depth of 272.5 mm including the bracket. Use the installed dimension when checking clearance from the mounting surface and the speaker's projection into the room or outdoor area.
Driver and acoustic design
Each Climate 80 uses an 8-inch C-CAM bass / mid-range driver with a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. Monitor Audio publishes a 50 Hz–30 kHz response and 89.5 dB sensitivity at 1 W / 1 m.
