Monitor Audio Bronze On-Wall 7G is a slim, passive 2-way loudspeaker designed specifically for surface-mounted wall installations. Sold as a single speaker, it can be used in wall-mounted stereo systems or as front LCR, side-channel or rear-channel loudspeakers in a compatible home-theatre layout.

Its cabinet is only 135 mm deep with all accessories fitted, while still incorporating a 6-inch C-CAM bass-mid driver, a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter and a ported enclosure tuned to 47 Hz. Monitor Audio publishes a 42 Hz–30 kHz in-room response, 88 dB sensitivity, 112 dB maximum peak SPL and 100 W continuous power handling.

Where does the Bronze On-Wall 7G fit?

Monitor Audio positions the Bronze On-Wall 7G for both wall-mounted stereo and multichannel AV systems. Its shallow cabinet makes it useful when a conventional bookshelf or floorstanding enclosure would project too far into the room or consume floor space.

For home theatre, Monitor Audio specifically identifies the model for front left / centre / right applications as well as side and rear channels. Because each speaker is sold individually, the system can be built with the exact quantity required instead of assuming a stereo pair is included.

Vertical or horizontal installation

Bronze On-Wall 7G is designed to be installed vertically or horizontally. Monitor Audio's current installation guidance uses the included drilling template and a spirit level to establish the mounting position at a 0° angle. The speaker then hangs from suitable screw heads using its built-in rear hooks.

The manufacturer instructs installers to leave approximately a 7 mm gap between the screw head and wall so the hooks can engage correctly. Wall construction and fixing requirements vary, so the final anchors, plugs and screws must be selected for the actual substrate.

Wall fixings and cable clearance

Wall screws and plugs are not included. Monitor Audio specifies that the selected wall fixings must be appropriate for the wall type and capable of supporting at least 7 kg for each Bronze On-Wall 7G speaker. A drilling template is supplied to support accurate installation.

Monitor Audio also provides wall spacers for situations where the speaker cable is not run inside the wall. The spacers fit at the corners of the cabinet to create rear clearance for surface-routed cable. If the cable is concealed in-wall and sufficient clearance already exists, the spacers are not required solely for cable routing.

No in-wall cutout required

Bronze On-Wall 7G is a surface-mounted loudspeaker rather than an in-wall architectural model. It therefore does not require a speaker-sized wall cutout, pre-construction bracket or back box. Installation still requires proper wall anchoring and a planned speaker-cable route.

Driver and enclosure design

A 6-inch C-CAM bass-mid driver works with a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter through a 3.0 kHz crossover. The tweeter uses Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide, while the cabinet uses a ported HiVe II alignment with a published 47 Hz tuning frequency.

That makes the On-Wall acoustically different from the sealed Bronze AMS and Bronze Centre models even though all belong to Bronze Series 7G. The exact product specification—not a generic series feature list—controls the enclosure information published here.

Amplifier matching

Bronze On-Wall 7G is rated at 8 ohms nominal and reaches a published minimum impedance of 4.7 ohms at 17 kHz. Monitor Audio recommends amplifier power of 30–100 W RMS into 8 ohms or 50–200 W RMS into 4 ohms, while continuous speaker power handling is 100 W.

The speaker remains an 8-ohm nominal design. The 4-ohm recommendation describes the amplifier's rated-output condition used by Monitor Audio and should not be interpreted as a selectable impedance mode on the speaker.
