Monitor Audio Bronze AMS 7G is a compact, passive Dolby Atmos-enabled upward-firing height speaker sold as a manufacturer-defined pair. It is designed to sit neatly on top of Bronze 50 7G or Bronze 300 7G loudspeakers and add dedicated height-channel information to a compatible home-cinema system.
Each AMS module uses a 4-inch C-CAM driver and a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with optimised UD Waveguide in a sealed 2-way enclosure. The current specification is 83 Hz–30 kHz in-room (-6 dB), 86 dB sensitivity, 110 dB maximum peak SPL and 60 W continuous power handling.

What does Bronze AMS 7G add to a system?
Bronze AMS 7G is not a conventional front, centre or surround loudspeaker. Its role is to reproduce height-channel information in a Dolby Atmos home-theatre layout. Monitor Audio specifically designs the enclosure to sit on top of Bronze 50 7G or Bronze 300 7G, creating a compact upward-firing height solution without requiring the AMS module itself to be installed in the ceiling.
Monitor Audio's current Bronze Series guidance also allows Bronze AMS 7G to be used on top of front or rear speakers, depending on the Atmos layout. The exact channel assignment, speaker configuration and calibration should be set in the AV receiver or processor according to the electronics and system layout being used.
What you need to use it
Bronze AMS 7G is a passive loudspeaker. It does not contain a power amplifier, wireless receiver or Dolby Atmos decoder. To use the pair as Atmos height channels, the system must provide appropriate external amplification and Atmos-capable channel processing / configuration.
Because the product is sold as a pair, one sell unit supplies two height speakers. The pair is Monitor Audio's normal manufacturer sell unit rather than a retailer-created multipack.
Driver and enclosure design
The AMS module uses a 4-inch C-CAM driver together with Monitor Audio's 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter and optimised waveguide. A new crossover design divides the signal at 4.8 kHz.
Unlike the rear-ported Bronze 50 7G and Bronze 300 7G, Bronze AMS 7G uses a sealed enclosure. That distinction is important: the exact-model specification identifies no port or port-tuning frequency for the AMS module.
Amplifier matching
Bronze AMS 7G is rated at 8 ohms nominal and reaches a published minimum impedance of 3.7 ohms at 10 kHz. Monitor Audio recommends amplifier power of 10–60 W RMS into 8 ohms or 30–120 W RMS into 4 ohms, while continuous speaker power handling is 60 W.
The speaker remains an 8-ohm nominal design. The 4-ohm recommendation describes the amplifier's rated-output condition used by Monitor Audio; it is not a selectable 4-ohm operating mode on the AMS speaker.

Placement and system integration
Monitor Audio specifically designs Bronze AMS 7G to sit on Bronze 50 7G or Bronze 300 7G. Current Bronze Series support guidance also identifies AMS placement on top of front or rear speakers for Atmos layouts. Keep each module stable and securely positioned, and follow the AV receiver / processor's speaker-assignment and calibration procedure after installation.
If a project instead calls for true overhead loudspeakers, Monitor Audio separately supports in-ceiling speakers for Atmos installations. Bronze AMS 7G is the speaker-top, upward-firing option within the Bronze 7G range.
