Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need 3000MHz certification for a standard commercial office building?
No. Cat6A/500MHz certification (ST-163008) is sufficient for 10GBaseT commercial cabling. The 3000MHz model is required only when certifying Cat7, Cat7A, or Cat8 cabling for 25G/40G applications.
Can the ST-163009 also certify Cat5e and Cat6?
Yes. The 3000MHz model is backward-compatible with all lower cable categories.
