RENO Vanguard / Vangard PRIME — R51087. 12-inch bronze round-guard LED bulkhead luminaire for wet-location commercial, exterior, utility and marine-style installations. Specifications and photometric information apply to RENO-RB12-MW-MCCT-BRN, not the adjacent 8-inch Vangard models.

Power factor: ≥0.9; THD: ≤20%. Factory-default 40W/5000K. Integrated DC photocell can be enabled or disabled independently of 0–10V dimming control.

Manufacturer-tested lumen output by setting

Photometric clarification: The highest measured output is 4,860.7 lm at 40W / 4000K. At the factory-default 40W / 5000K setting, measured output is 4,750.4 lm. Changing power or CCT changes lumen output; this remains one SKU with field-adjustable settings, not nine separately sold variants.

Mounting, sealing and controls

RENO's installation guide requires installation by a licensed electrician, disconnecting supply before service, use of a suitable junction box/mounting bracket or documented conduit method and caulking around the mounting surface on all sides. Bracket screws and locking set screws have manufacturer-specified tightening torques; follow the supplied manual rather than treating this overview as instructions. Connections include line, neutral, ground, 0–10V Dim+ and Dim−. The internal DIP switches configure 24/32/40W, 3000/4000/5000K and the photocell ON/OFF setting.

Manufacturer documentation for this exact model includes a five-page specification sheet with the nine-setting lumen table and a four-page installation guide covering bracket and conduit installation, electrical connections, photocell settings and DIP switch operation. IES photometric files are supplied for all nine wattage/CCT combinations. Specification FAQ

Are 24W, 32W, and 40W separate purchase options?

No. One R51087 fixture has selectable power settings. The same applies to 3000K, 4000K and 5000K colour temperatures; installers select the settings using internal DIP switches.

Does it include a photocell?

Yes, RENO specifies a built-in DC photocell with its own ON/OFF DIP switch. It does not need a separately purchased photocell for the built-in feature.

Can I dim it with a standard wall dimmer?

Not by assumption. The fixture specifies 0–10V dimming, requiring a compatible 0–10V control setup and qualified installation.

Is an eyelid guard or grille supplied?

No. The standard listed R51087 fixture is guard-free. Optional bronze eyelid R59070 and grid R59071 covers are separate items.

Can this be mounted outdoors by a boathouse or patio?

RENO rates R51087 IP65 for wet locations and lists boathouses, docks, decks and patios among intended uses. It is not specified for submersion, and any marine/saltwater exposure requirements beyond IP65 need separate confirmation.
