What makes Silver Centre 8G different?
Unlike a conventional 2-way centre speaker, Silver Centre 8G uses a dedicated mid-range driver between the bass and treble sections. Its sealed enclosure simplifies placement near cabinetry and screens because it does not rely on a rear bass port. It is designed to timbre-match the wider Silver 8G family for a coherent front soundstage.
Amplifier matching
Silver Centre 8G is rated at 8 ohms nominal, with a published minimum impedance of 4.0 Ohms @ 160 Hz. Monitor Audio specifies 100–400 W into 4 Ohms or 50–200 W into 8 Ohms. Continuous speaker power handling is 200 W.
