Controller(s), LED tape/strips, external lighting power and phone are separate. The EU4454 is a control-input accessory, not a wired dimmer with standalone line-voltage, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Thread, Matter or generic Bluetooth compatibility claims. Do not assume that any Bluetooth LED controller works unless supported by Lotus MESHLE documentation.
Set up the EU4454: pair BEFORE installing
- Purchase/install a supported MESHLE controller and commission its intended LED load according to that controller's separate installation directions.
- Install/open the free MESHLE iOS or Android app on a compatible smartphone.
- Before mounting the switch, locate the pairing QR code on the back of the EU4454 and complete the app pairing process. This is an explicit Lotus instruction.
- Configure the four keys and their short-press, long-press and double-click actions for supported on/off, colour and brightness functions; assign individual or grouped Bluetooth-mesh devices as appropriate.
- Only after successful commissioning, screw-mount to a suitable junction box per manufacturer installation drawing. The switch itself needs no battery and no electrical power wiring.
- Verify the actual wireless range and reliable response in the installation's wall construction and mesh network.
